Our Clever Choice Is To Be Flexible

Our Clever Choice Is To Be Flexible

From our dear mother’s womb to adulthood,

We’ve been struggling with sheer reality.

We’ve learned the difference between bad and good,

But we’re still fighting insecurity.

We wake up today, and the sun’s shining.

Before midnight it’s already snowing.

The day after it’s heavily raining.

The cosmos is naturally changing.

We are a part of the kaleidoscope.

And the universe is the magic force.

In stead of blending in, we want on top.

And since then, we’ve been racing like a horse.

The world can accommodate each being.

And every single life is worth living.

But, a group wants to be dominating,

While the majority is suffering.

We live in a world of impermanence,

But we rarely learn to go with the flow.

Most of the time we prefer the nonsense.

And to mother nature it’s a big blow.

We don’t question why our boat is sinking.

We simply patch it just to be floating.

But, if the circumstances are changing,

We’ve got to move on and stop resisting.

Let’s admit the way we’re living is odd,

Sacrifice old routine, and welcome change,

Learn to be humble, let go and let god.

Otherwise, sooner or later, we’ll cringe.

“Flexible mind” Socrates was teaching

while facing death sentence without fearing.

The Middle East heat is not surprising.

Change everybody is only seeking.

Earth is moving while it’s in rotation.

And time is passing while unstoppable.

Life’s changing within each revolution.

So, our lifestyle’s got to be changeable.

No matter what we do, Nature’s fueling.

Following her course, she will keep rolling.

She will always be in our surrounding.

If we don’t adjust, we’ll keep stagnating.

Good times, troubles, pains… are momentary.

We’ve got to face the inevitable.

To live in the present is primary.

Our clever choice is to be flexible.

I am a Cosmopolitan, a unique character from the inside out. I have 12 fingers (6 in each hand). I believe that we are one, everything is interrelated, and "there's a Natural Mystic blowing through the air" like sang Bob Marley & the Wailers. Like everyone else I have had my highs and my lows, but I have always learned and strived to live by the words of the philosopher Plato, who had said: "be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle." I wrote in one of my poems "Nature Has Everything In Place": "To philosophize I should try. It teaches me to live and die. To die's not the end of a guy. It's an ability to fly."
